I Want To Remember…

by Momma on September 3, 2010

The way you scream “tickle” as if there is nothing better in the world.

The way you put yourself in the corner when you are having a tough moment.

The way you say Hello…He·yo and Yellow…Ye·yo.

The way you only want me to hold you when you don’t feel well.
{Thank you sinus infection!}

The way you squeal when you see your sisters getting off of the bus in the afternoon.

The way whenever you are nervous you pucker up and want Momma’s kisses for comfort.

The way everything has a place in your world and if it is out of order you will say “uh-oh” until it is remedied, your perfectionism is from your father.

The way you love shoes and are constantly trying on every.single.pair on the shoe rack and sometimes even brave walking in them.

The way you run.

The rash on your chin from those canines popping through.

The drool.

The way you dance whenever there is music and sometimes when there is not.

The way you grab my hand and say “c’mon” when you have something I must see immediately.

The way when someone asks you to move you reply with “Beep Beep”.

The way your left arm has started to come back and yet how farther we still have to go but you don’t let that stop you.

The way you play.

The way you mimic everything and everyone…you are all about the sound effects.

The bend of you left thumb and how much I pray you don’t lose anymore function.

The way you love everyone!

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September 1, 2010

No parent should ever hear those words that their child has cancer. No child should ever be robbed of any of their childhood because of cancer. No family should ever have their lives turned upside down because of cancer. No parent should ever be left with a shattered heart and empty arms. Please join me in spreading the word and raising awareness for childhood cancer.  [...]

Who was your high school Sweet Heart? I was a little bit of a late bloomer so I didn’t have a Sweet Heart per say but I did have quite a few crushes and my first real kiss was when I was 16. I can honestly say that before my husband I had my fair [...]

Tidbits & Truths

August 23, 2010

Is is possible to OD on milk? If so my child may need an intervention. My internet and phone have been down since Saturday. I’d better have a serious credit on my bill. It feels good to finally feed my addiction. A friend of mine told me her doctor invited her to join a constipation support [...]

30 Days of Truth ~ Day 8

August 20, 2010

Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit. I don’t really allow anyone to treat me like shit for long. I kinda have a “Fuck You” policy. I rest in knowing that they were far more miserable in their life than any sort of damage they could have ever done to me. I can honestly [...]

It Happens Every Time…

August 19, 2010

Monkey gets her scans and then I am completely useless for days. I think it is more draining for Momma than it is for my sweet girl. She has veins that like to collapse when you stick a needle in them. It took 5 nurses to finally get a vein threaded with her IV. She [...]

August 18, 2010

Someone who has made your life worth living for. My husband is the first comes to mind. I don’t think I would have the life I have and probably wouldn’t know just how sweet it can be if he weren’t in my life. So he definitely has changed me and made my world go from black & white [...]
